Dear Professor,

I'm writing to you because I'm really worried about my study, and want to discuss my situation with you. As you may have noticed, I had been absent for your class during the first two weeks because of some family problems, and consequently had lagged behind. I lost my heart in study and am afraid of attending the classes, but I've been working hard to catch up by my own and seeking psychological aid from my counselor. I'm afraid that if my GPA is below 2 due to my long absence and failures to accomplish my tasks I may not be allowed to continue my study . I'm wondering whether I am allowed to take Test 1 and 2 for a second time.
