一、不定冠词a/an

　　1、第一次提到某人或者某物时，用不定冠词a/an，它起着介绍的作用。

　　如：What is this? It’s a pear. （这是什么？它是一只梨。）

　　Who is he? He is a Chinese teacher.（他是谁？他是一位语文老师。）

　　2、不定冠词a/an与名词连用时，通常是概括人或者事物的整体，表示一类，如：An elephant is stronger than a horse. （大象比马力气大。）

　　3、不定冠词a用于时间前，有“每一”的意思，如：twice a week（每周两次）

　　二、定冠词the

　　1、表示“前面说过的人或者事物”的名词前，用定冠词，如：There is a red apple and a green apple on the table. I like the red apple.（在桌子上有一个红苹果和一个绿苹果。我喜欢那个红苹果。）

　　2、序数词前加定冠词，如：I live on the second floor of this apartment.（我住在这幢公寓的二楼。）

　　3、在形容词和副词的最高级之前加定冠词，但副词最高级之前的the可省略，如：He is the tallest boy in my class.（他是我班最高的男孩。）

　　4、在表示乐器名称的名词前用定冠词， 如：play the viloin（拉小提琴）

　　三、不出现不定冠词a/an和定冠词 the

　　在“国名、人名、三餐、星期、月份、季节、体育运动”这几类的名词中，不定冠词a/an和定冠词the通常不出现的。
