1:either相当于名词时,译为两者中其中一个,在句中作主语,宾语,表示单数概念,作主语时谓语动词要用单数形式,后面常跟of.后面用复数形式名词或代词,如果意义表达明确,of可以省略.

eg:Either of the plans is equally dangerous.

2:作形容词时,修饰单数名词,作定语

eg:He could write with both hand.

Take either half,they are exactly the same.

neither＆either用法相同,只是意义不同.

both:具有名词＆形容词的性质,在句中可以做主语,定语,宾语等,可指人也可指物.表示复数,且只能是指"二"

1):相当于名词,在句中作主语和宾语

eg:Both should make concenssions.

Why not use both?both后面常跟of,后面常跟复数名词或复数代词,后面接复数名词时of能省略,接代词时不能省略.eg:Both (of) the films were good.Sheinvited both 哦发

2):相当于名词时,在句中还做同位语,与复数名词或代词同位.作主语同位语是,谓语若是完全动词,both位于主语后谓语前eg:The girls both left early.

谓语若是系表结构,both位于系动词＆表语之间eg:these children are both mine.

3):相当于形容词,在句中作定语

eg:Both women were French.
