Study and activities; how do you manage?
When you studying in college, do you find yourself struggling with your schedule? Do you have problems handing in your homework in time or cannot keep your study up date with your plan because of the speech competition and the soccer practice?
It is common that the college students have a heavy load of study and also faces a various type of school activities to attend. There is no doubt that school activities are very beneficial. Through the activities students can improve their knowledge and skills in particular area and also learn a range of social skills and form friendships. But they have to know how much is too much.
For the students, the propriety is study, the activities is additional and should be considered after. Most activities, sports, arts, hobby groups, etc have their requirements and time consuming. If getting too much involved or too many to attend, a student will have difficulty to have sufficient time and energy to fulfill the task of study. This is an upset down situation. The Chinese saying is “Picking up the sesame, loosing the watermelon.”
It is recommended that students should have good time management skills. When they make a schedule they prioritise their study and make sure there is enough time for it. If there is spare time, choose some activities to do. Also make sure there is time for each of them. Not to choose too many. We probably could say: a balanced schedule is the passport for a good student.
