Why so we need to study English?

English is important as it is one of the most commonly spoken languages in the world. Statisitics have shown that one in five people can speak or at least understand english to some extent. Around 53 country across the globe have english as their official langauge. By knowing english it can open a lot communication with people across the world. Furthermore, we must also factor in that english is the language of science, aviation, computing, tourism and many other areas. Being fluent in english may increase one's chances of being employed in a multinational company. On a less serious note, english has been part of many forms of entertainment ranging from movies, songs and some classical literature. By understanding english, it will enable one to enjoy these without the help of translation.
