I was chosen as an exchange student to study in Singapore for a few days when I was in primary school. That was an unforgettable experience which really benefits me a lot. It is the first time that I have ever lived and studied in a foreign country where I learnt how to communicate with others in English.

when I was studying in middle school, an foreign teacher from England taught me language classes for three years. In his classes, we talked about many interesting topics, such as our hobbies, the changes of our hometowns, and even our ideas about how to be a hero! I was very interested in his classes in which I experienced a lot of cultural differences. What impressed me the most is that I began to know how to express myself in a foreign language. ‘Never be afraid of making mistakes.’ these words came as a refreshment which in the following years really encouraged me a lot.

As is mentioned in my essay, acquiring truth with diligence is one of my principles .So I will try my best to improve my English ability through my hard-working, overcome whatever difficulties I may encounter with in the future and be that I'm competent to do well in my enghlish classes.
